The new-look Boston Celtics are having the same, if not better, success than the former Boston squads that have been title contenders in each of the last few seasons. Jrue Holiday is averaging 12.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.9 assists, and Kristaps Porzingis is scoring 19.6 points with 6.2 rebounds per game in their first seasons in Boston over the team’s 7-2 start. With a matchup against the Knicks on Monday as one of the four games for daily Fantasy basketball players to make NBA DFS picks from, should either of the Celtics newcomers be featured in NBA DFS lineups?
Porzingis had 30 points and eight rebounds against his former team in the Celtics’ season-opening 108-104 win against the Knicks. The tandem of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are always strong options when forming an NBA DFS stack. Although there are only four games on Monday, the NBA DFS player pool is filled with stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Donovan Mitchell and DeMar DeRozan. Before making your NBA DFS picks, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

On Sunday, McClure highlighted Trail Blazers guard Skylar Mays as one of his top picks in his NBA DFS player pool on both sites. The result: Mays had 15 points, four rebounds and 12 assists, returning 39 points on DraftKings and 36.8 points on FanDuel. Anybody who included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Top NBA DFS picks for Monday, November 13 For Monday, one of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks is Raptors power forward/center Pascal Siakam, who is listed at $8,000 on DraftKings and $7,700 on FanDuel. Siakam is averaging 17.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game over the first nine contests. The two-time All-Star is off to a slower start this year after averaging 24.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game last season, but if there’s one consistency in the NBA this season, it’s a matchup against the Wizards that can do wonders for an NBA DFS performance.
The Wizards are allowing the second-most points (123.8 points per game ) this season. They’ve allowed at least 120 points in six of their last seven games. Washington is allowing the fourth-most points per game in the paint (56.4 ppg), and that’s where Siakam is his most efficient. Siakam was 10th in the NBA in paint touches last season, and you can expect Toronto to take advantage of that on Monday.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Cavaliers center/power forward Jarrett Allen ($5,700 on DraftKings and $6,400 on FanDuel). Allen missed the first five games with an ankle injury, and he’s ramping up to the form of the player who averaged 14.3 points and 9.8 rebounds last season. The 25-year-old is averaging 12 points and 6.8 rebounds over his first four contests in 25.8 minutes per game. He’s playing nearly seven fewer minutes per game so far this season, but those minutes will increase as his conditioning improves.
Allen played 28 minutes on Saturday for just the second time this year, so Cleveland is beginning to ramp up his playing time. That trend could continue on Monday against the Kings, who are allowing 113.8 points per game. Allen has at least 10 points and five rebounds in all four games this season, providing a consistent floor with the upside of being one of the top-scoring big men if he reaches 30 minutes on Monday.
